ADMISSION DETAILS The craftsman training is provided with a view to prepare semi skilled workers for the Industry. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION The Educational qualification varies from class 8th pass to class 10th pass depending on the trades. DURATION OF TRAINING      The duration of training varies from one to two years in this Institute EXAMINATION     The trainees after completion of craftsmen of craftsmen training appear in the all India trade test to get National Trade Certificate (NTC) awarded by the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT), GOVT OF INDIA , which is recognized for the purpose of recruitment to the subordinate technical posts at the shop floor level within the country as well as abroad. The state government through industrial training institute impart institutionalized vocational training scheme, which is one of the flagship programmes run by the DGE&T. APPRENTICE     After getting NTC, one year on the job apprenticeship training is given to the ITI passed outs through Industries with stipend. APPLICATION FORM   Application form for admission can be had directly from the office of the principal, on payment of rupees fifty only towards the cost of    application form and prospectus. Separate application forms are necessary if one wish to apply for more then one trade. ISSUE OF APPLICATION   Issue of application forms will be started every year soon after the HSC results are published in the month of june. Filled up application forms should reach this office on or before the dead line date as mentioned in the application form. ADMISSION PROCEDURE   Admission will be given strictly on Merit basis ,and as per the reservation police by the Tamilnadu government as applicable time to time.
